10 Rules to Having an Affair Without Getting Caught

If you do decide to have an affair, prepare to spend a lot of time in planning and due diligence. Here are ten rules to follow when you are having an affair so you don’t get caught by your partner. How to get away with infidelity:

Cover your tracks: watch your phone bills: is it itemized? Can the bill be viewed online instead?, be watchful of your email communications, be mindful of your internet history on your browser. Don’t use your home phone or cell phone. Get a Post Office Box.
Meet on Neutral Ground. Don’t bring your lover to your home. And never go to your lover’s home – unless they are single of course.
Don’t give your lover your home number.
It’s a small world after all. Chances are you and your spouse know a lot of people. Try to minimize your time in public and keep a low profile.
Because of (4), its probably best to meet your lover far away from home.
Keep it a REAL secret. Minimise the number of people who know about your infidelity.
Keep your promises. And don’t make promises you can’t keep. If you break ‘em, your lover may be prompted to contact your spouse.
Keep regular schedule & don’t change your routine. The dates with your lover should be at regular times so as to not draw suspicion from your spouse. So if you have a monthly business trip at a certain date and time, make sure that schedule is kept.
You aren’t James Bond. Don’t become overconfident in your deception abilities. You aren’t 007 and getting too cocky may lead to mistakes in covering your tracks.
Enjoy your time. Yes you are in an affair. Yes you are stressed about being discovered. But make sure you take a step back every now and then to enjoy and think about what you are accomplishing.
